Open application settings

Open Settings from the application menu, or use Command + , on Mac or Ctrl + , on Windows. Choose General or Git.

Ordinary settings take effect when saved. Reverting changes restores saved values; resetting puts defaults into the form.

Use an external AI tool

Start your chosen CLI manually in the terminal. Its installation, authentication, model selection and permissions belong to that tool. Fumidama does not register or activate AI tools.

Preserved routine settings

After upgrading from managed AI editing, your old routine instructions and unfinished settings remain in UTF-8 JSON backups in the application data folder: preferences.json.before-managed-ai-removal.json and application-settings-draft.json.before-managed-ai-removal.json. Open them in a text editor and read preferences.routines, draft.base.preferences.routines and draft.input.routines. Other settings and unfinished non-AI input remain in Settings. Existing backups are never overwritten; a migration failure keeps the original file.

Choose workspace settings

Workspace settings apply to the current working folder. Distinguish inherited application settings from explicit overrides. Document settings apply to the displayed document.

Set the Git author name and email in application settings under Git. You can import your personal Git settings into the form; save to apply them.

Check your computer type

On Mac, use About This Mac from the Apple menu to check the OS and chip. On Windows, check Settings > System > About for the OS and system type.

Compare these details with the requirements on the download page when distribution begins. Minimum OS versions and supported processors have not been published yet.
