Compare earlier and current content

Return to the seminar proposal. Open history, select a saved revision and document, and compare it with the current version. Read the clearer audience description separately from the removal of an exercise.

History shows changes to saved documents. It is not a complete record of conversations with AI.

Discuss the changes with AI

Provide the document name, the revision you reviewed, and the relevant before-and-after passages. Open the revision’s information button to inspect and copy its date, message and commit ID. Use Source to inspect the text you want to quote. You can ask: “Do not edit yet. Let’s consider what we lose by removing this exercise.”

AI may not know why a past decision was made. Provide the context and quotations it needs. The comparison is not sent to AI automatically.

Decide what to keep

Keep the more specific audience, but rewrite the exercise using the earlier passage as a starting point. You do not have to restore the entire document.

Adjust the current document

Return to the current document and request the agreed changes. Review both the passages you wanted to preserve and those you changed, then save. This is not a dedicated one-click partial-restore operation.

Restoring a whole document or workspace has a different scope. See saving and history.
